T1 Power & Free conveyor specifications:
Max. load bar weight: up to 600 kg*
*total weight including load bar and depending on trolley configuration
T1 Power & Free conveyors are based on a twin-track system. The top track is used for the power chain and the bottom track for the carrier trolleys. At an equal pitch, pusher dogs are fitted in the power chain and are used to pull the carriers around the system. The movable cams of the pusher dogs latch onto the trolley to form an interlink connection.
Stop stations (available as standard, ATEX or high-temperature design for curing ovens), are controlled and monitored by the main control system of the conveyor. They are used to disengage the link between the power chain and trolleys. When a stop station is closed the carrier will stop while the power chain keeps moving. The pusher dog and trolley design also allow for multiple carriers to buffer behind a stop station.
Switches are installed at positions where carriers might need to divert to other directions. Pneumatic cylinders with position sensors are used to actuate the switches. Depending on the position in the layout, switches can also be self-switching. Switches are also controlled and monitored by the main control system of the conveyor.
Depending on the type of Power & Free conveyor and its usage, a drive mechanism will be chosen. This can be a caterpillar drive unit or a helical-screw drive unit. For safety, all drive units are utilized with a torque limiter that disconnects the driving force between the gear motor and the drive unit.
Advantages of a Power & Free conveyor:
- Compact, bolted track design for easy assembly without welding. Highest quality moveable components inside the track, ensuring quality and reliability.
- Modular system with standard parts allows for flexible design and optimal layout planning as per the customer’s wishes.
- Advanced automatic PLC based control system with touch screen user interface and remote access.
To minimize the wear and tear of the chain and trolleys, a lubrication unit can be used. This automatically controlled device lubricates parts such as the chain links and bearings on a pre-set interval.
Special parts are available upon request such as lift- and drop sections, transfer chains, and product rotation units.
We also deliver specialized solutions to have a dipping tank crane system take over the products from the carriers and after the dipping process is completed, hang them back onto the carriers.
