ISO-9001 is an international standard for quality management. It is used to assess whether an organization meets customer requirements, relevant laws and regulations and the requirements of the organization itself. With an ISO 9001 certification, an organization can demonstrate that its management system meets all standard requirements in the field of quality management.

This ISO standard has been set up in such a way that it pays attention to the entire process of translating customer requirements (input) to the delivered product or service. This includes the entire work process of the organization, together with a number of secondary processes. These secondary processes support the organisation towards continuous improvement.

Railtechniek van Herwijnen B.V. is EN 1090 EXC2 certified. This means that we comply with the European standard that applies to the production of load-bearing steel and aluminium structures.

For the certification according to EN 1090 we passed conditions tests, such as:

• Qualification of welding procedures
• Quality assurance in welding operations according to ISO 3834
• Implementation and continuous supervision of a factory production control system
