Railtechniek van Herwijnen Group is one of the market leaders in the development, manufacturing and installation of overhead and floor conveyor systems. 70% of our projects are for international customers, for example Scania, Audi, Cannondale, Gazelle and Palfinger, at various locations throughout Europe.

As a PLC Programmer you provide the control for various electrical and pneumatic components. You program PLCs and peripherals, both from our head office as well as on location, at our (international) clientele. The activities of a PLC Programmer at Railtechniek include:

 

  • Programming PLCs, HMI, etc;
  • Testing and adjusting systems before and during the delivery phase;
  • Calling in at customers’ systems to solve problems.

Railtechniek is looking for experienced professionals with a passion for technology. We are looking for a PLC Programmer which has:
 

  • HBO / University degree working and thinking level, in an electrical direction;
  • Strong analytical capabilities;
  • At least 5 years working experience with operational technology in international environment;
  • Vast experience with SIEMENS S7, TIA Portal;
  • Experience with diagnosis and troubleshooting of automation systems;
  • Experience with programming languages STL, LAD, FBD;
  • Extensive knowledge of Field buses e.g. Profinet, Asi;
  • Willingness to work at project locations abroad for weeks at a time;
  • In possession of a valid driver's license;
  • You are a EU citizen and permitted to work in the Netherlands, or already in possession of a work permit which enables you to work in the Netherlands;
  • A good command of English. Other languages are a plus.
